All Saints Day and All Souls Day
The students have been learning about different celebrations
and traditions we celebrate and those celebrated in other countries.
We learned about All Saints Day and All Souls Day (Nov. 1, 2)
and to recognize this day we took a walk to Freshco to get some flowers.
We bought the flowers and took them to St. John Vianney Church. The students
were invited in to the church to ask any questions they have and to learn
more about the statues and important items in the church.
We left some flowers at the statue of Mary and then brought the
rest outside to the prayer garden, where the students were given time
to pray for any loved ones who have passed away.
The students have also been learning about the saints and how they can
pray to a saint, so they were also given time to do that as well.
