Our first week was TOTALLY TERRIFIC in grade TWO!!!
The students have been working hard to settle into the routines of their new classroom. They worked in groups with their classmates and came up with some great ideas of how to be successful in the classroom. Take a look at their ideas...
We jumped right into our math program with our first unit about sorting and patterning. The students will be learning to sort things based on 2 attributes (colour, shape, position, and size). To help at home ask them to sort their blocks by colour. To challenge them ask them to sort their blocks by size and colour (e.g. put the small and red ones in this pile). We will be moving into patterning in the coming week so watch for the at home patterning tip.
