Literacy Centers
During Literacy Centers the students work in small groups doing different
activities. The kids did a great job learning the routines of our centers.
They rotated through four different activities.
One activity was journal writing.
Another was reading poems and jokes.
Everyone had a turn to listen to a story on the computer.
Word Work will be a center each week, where the students will work
with spelling and letter patterns to help them improve their spelling skills.
The activities in the word work center will change frequently but the focus
will always be on spelling.
