Take a look at what we have been learning about Contractions...
We have been working with, searching for, and using contractions all week.
Students have been offered table points for any contractions they write
on their own time, either at home, during indoor recess, or any other spare
time during class. For anyone who wants to work on contractions at home
check out the contraction list in your child's agenda coming Monday.
We will continue to work on contractions during class time as well!
Hey, that's MINE!
Possessive Nouns can often be confused with contractions, since they both have
an apostrophe. We are working on these too!!
We have been putting on our best 'whiny voices' as a way to help
us remember when to use an apostrophe for possessive nouns.
