Math Projects - Data Management

Data Management
Our unit on Data Management is coming to an end this week.  The unit test will be
on Thursday and a review note will be coming home at the beginning of the week.
We usually do some kind of math project during each unit that consolidates
their learning.

Each student came up with a question of their own and had to gather
their own data in the form of a tally chart.  Once their tally chart
was complete, they were required to show the data in other ways (bar
graphs/pictographs) and discuss the data in writing.  They are working
hard to complete this project.

'How many girls do you think go to SJV?'
'How many word wall words do you think are colour words?'

'How many pieces of playdo do you think there are in the basket?'

'How many Pokemon cards do you think I have?'

'How many people do you think go to SJV?'

'What do we have in our outdoor learning space?'

'How many flowers are in our garden?'

These are just a few of the great questions that are being answered in our room.
