This week we jumped right in to learning the set up and clean up routines
of working in literacy centers. We discussed ways they could be independent
when working in small groups and how they could help each other
learn and problem solve.
The students had 4 activities this week and each group completed
one activity each day.
Center #1: Magnetic Letters
Students were responsible to build words found on our word wall.
Center #2: Playdoh Words
Students were responsible to build words found on our word wall.
Center #3: Paint a Word
Students were responsible to paint words found on our word wall.
Center #4: Calvin Can't Fly
Students put their shrinky dink bird on a beaded pipe cleaner for their backpack.
This 'practice round' of centers will get the students ready for the
more challenging and exciting centers that will come.
