Today we talked about even and odd numbers. To begin the lesson we read a story about

After that we talked about the information on our anchor chart...
Then it was time to practice!!! They learned how to play a card game
that requires them to identify even numbers in order to 'win' cards.
Each player gets half of the deck.
Each player flips one card at the same time.
If you see an even number you slap it as fast as you can.
You have to identify the even number, and your partner has to check if you are correct.
If you are correct you win both of the cards.
Flip again until you are out of cards.
Whoever has the most cards at the end is the winner.
TRY IT AT HOME
Line up toys where each toy has a partner...those are the even numbers!
Make a list of even numbers...how high can you go???
Bring it in and get a prize from the prize box!
