Happy New Year!
Welcome back to a new year of fun and learning!
To start off the new year on a positive note, we read Squirrel's New Year's Resolution.
Making a resolution was a new idea for many of the students in our class
so we thought of some great ideas.
As a class we are going to try to be more healthy.
Take a look at the ideas from your children...
In order to learn how to keep their bodies and their minds calm, the students will be taking part
in mindfulness activities, including breathing exercises, songs, and
stretches.
We talked about the 4 food groups today and did some sorting activities.
Tomorrow they will be sorting their snacks and lunches into the different
food groups. I will be strongly encouraging them to choose healthy snacks from their
lunch pails for their morning snack. Can you please help your child regularly pack
at least one healthy item to choose for their morning snack so they
can take part in our healthy challenge.
