Toys, Toys, Toys!

Toys, Toys, Toys!
We are beginning our Grade Two Toy Catalogue!!!
There was some serious excitement in the room when they realized they
would be designing their own toy.

As an end to our unit on money and and introduction to our unit on Geometry
each student was asked to create a toy using pattern blocks.  Each pattern
block was assigned a value (5, 10, 25 cents) and the students need to find out
how much it would cost to 'build' their toy.  This activity covers math,  (geometry,
money, and number sense) writing, (they need to describe the features of their toy) and art.

Stay tuned for the Grade 2 Toy Catalogue!
